Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026 · Plain-English version. The spirit of this document controls — not the lawyering.

1. What DBATR is

DBATR is an information and connection service. We surface treatment options, peer support, and resources. We are not a medical provider, not a clinic, not a hospital, and not a substitute for professional care. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, clinical, or financial advice.

2. Automated matching

Our matching suggestions are generated by automated software (including AI). They are suggestions only. Always verify a facility's licensing, services, insurance acceptance, and current availability directly with the facility and a licensed professional before making any treatment decision.

3. Third-party facilities

Facilities listed on DBATR are independent third parties. We do not own, operate, supervise, license, or guarantee any facility. Your final relationship is between you and the facility. DBATR is not responsible for the care, conduct, billing, outcomes, or any harm arising from any third-party facility.

4. Crisis disclaimer

DBATR is not a crisis service and is not staffed 24/7. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or text HOME to 741741.

5. Release of liability

By using DBATR you agree that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Dream Big Buffalo LLC, its founder, contributors, and volunteers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential harm arising from (a) the use of this site, (b) interactions with any third-party facility, or (c) reliance on any automated suggestion.

6. No fees from people seeking help

DBATR is always free for individuals and families seeking care. Facilities pay a flat subscription for a listing — never per referral or per lead.

7. Honest beta

This platform is built and operated by one person right now. We're transparent about gaps, working through them in the open, and we'd rather tell you what we can and can't do than oversell. See How this works.

8. Report a problem

If a facility behaved harmfully, billed unfairly, or you saw something off — tell us here. We take it seriously.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use means you accept the latest version.
